About the Role

The Assembly Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining production of Surgical Table products to meet customer requirements. This position is responsible for assembling products based on knowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble products using knowledge of component parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Use and understand torque wrenches and test equipment to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies.
  • Meet high quality standards by utilizing a traveler, blueprint, and standard work.
  • Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits.
  • Apply 5S tools, including the T-card system.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Shop Floor Control.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as 5S and Kanban Inventory.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand schematics.
  • Experience using torque wrenches and test equipment.
  • Ability to make decisions and stay quality-focused.
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Proven teamwork experience.
  • Ability to work overtime, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior AS400 experience.
  • Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies.
