Rough Fab Assembler Job Description

The Rough Fab Assembler plays a crucial role in preparing equipment for wiring, testing, and final assembly at Cornerstone. This multifaceted position involves assembling off-the-shelf OEM equipment and integrating custom panels and brackets to meet project-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble equipment in accordance with assembly drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure all required parts are available and properly organized for assembly.
  • Mark cutting lines and drill holes on materials as needed.
  • Verify proper fitting and alignment of materials to be assembled.
  • Maintain production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, and clean and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Assemble parts in equipment racks and prepare packaged assemblies for shipment.
  • Receive and load packages and assemblies, and ensure safe handling and transportation.
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a Fabricator.
  • Good dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate a Fork Lift.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to read and comprehend assembly drawings.
  • Proficiency with operating hand tools such as drills, screw guns, circular saws, and jigsaws.
