QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least 60 college credit hours, with a minimum of 12 hours focused on child development.
  3. Prior experience engaging with school-aged children.
  4. Proven ability and/or skill in working with children in this age group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Lead staff member responsible for designing and executing a program that promotes physical activities, creative expression through arts and crafts, and peer interaction.
  2. Collaborate effectively with site team, Program Coordinator, school principal, and other staff to share facilities amicably.
  3. Oversee program materials and supplies, maintaining an accurate inventory.
  4. Establish strong communication with parents of enrolled children, coordinating with School Resource Personnel as necessary.
  5. Create a safe, nurturing, and child-centered environment, adhering to cleanliness and health standards.
  6. Assist the Program Coordinator in ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.
  7. Complete all necessary documentation, including lesson plans, purchase orders, attendance logs, incident reports, and communication records.
  8. Be available to work on all designated half days.
  9. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

REPORTS TO: Extended Day Program Coordinator

COMPENSATION: $17.28 per hour

HOURS: 28.75 hours per week
Monday-Friday - 7:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Applicants must be available for all scheduled shifts and 5 hours of planning weekly.

Occasionally, the employee may lift or push up to 50 lbs, such as boxes of materials. The employee is responsible for the safety and well-being of others. Specific vision abilities required include close vision for reading handwritten or typed materials and the ability to adjust focus.
