Construction Sales Representative

The Construction Sales Representative is a key role at Red Thread, responsible for developing floor covering business through prospecting, networking, and servicing new and existing accounts in the CT, Western MA, and Eastern NY markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and qualify potential customers through research and networking.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to establish rapport and secure new business.
- Prepare and present quotations and RFPs to clients, ensuring accurate budgets and profit margins.
- Manage the order process from start to finish, including scheduling installations and ensuring smooth delivery.
- Collaborate with the Credit and Collections team to resolve payment issues and collect delinquent funds.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, providing insights to the Sales Manager to improve products and services.
- Intermediate-level PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise good business judgment.
- Leadership and initiative, with a goal-oriented approach to sales and customer service.
- Estimating skills to prepare detailed budgets and specifications.
- General knowledge of the floor covering industry and specific market information.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Three+ years of sales and construction/floor covering experience, with measurable success in business-to-business exposure.
