The hourly salary range for this position is a nationwide market range, reflecting a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual hourly rate will be determined by factors such as the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.

What Is the Opportunity?

The Bond & Specialty Insurance Underwriting Internship Program provides students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and learn about the property and casualty insurance industry. As an underwriter, you'll play a critical role in evaluating business and institutional risk, gathering and researching information, and using analytical skills to make informed decisions.

What Will You Do?
  • Complete challenging and meaningful project work over the course of the program
  • Develop your knowledge of insurance underwriting, sales, and marketing through core assignments and a designated coach
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • A strong interest in entering the insurance industry and pursuing a career in underwriting
  • A preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Undergraduate students completing their junior year
  • Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Risk Management/Insurance, Marketing, or other Liberal Arts majors with a business focus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
