Job Summary

The Community Maintenance Coordinator will support the maintenance, landscape, and management efforts to maintain the community in a clean and orderly condition. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain Cleanliness and Physical Appearance

The successful candidate will consistently maintain a clean and attractive environment around the leasing office, clubhouse, pool, laundry rooms, mailrooms, and all common areas. This includes picking up trash on the property and in common areas, emptying compactor/dumpster areas, and cleaning breezeways, steps, sidewalk, pool area, and other common areas using power blowers and pressure washers.

Prepare Vacant Apartments

The Community Maintenance Coordinator will assist in trashing out vacant apartments and performing light cleaning prior to move-in. This requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

Perform Basic Maintenance Tasks

This role involves performing basic maintenance work orders when needed, including minor repairs, replacements, and adjustments to ensure the smooth operation of community amenities and services.

Monitor and Maintain Equipment

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining equipment, reporting any issues or concerns to the Maintenance and/or Community Manager in a timely manner.

Collaborate with Leasing Staff

The Community Maintenance Coordinator will work closely with leasing staff to ensure that properties are presented in their best possible condition, meeting the expectations of residents and potential new residents.

Adhere to Company Policies

This role requires adherence to company policies, including key control procedures, safety protocols, and performance standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required

A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role. A background in maintenance or a related field is preferred.

Light Maintenance Skills Preferred

Previous experience in light maintenance or a related field is preferred but not necessary.

Ability to Work Independently

The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong Communication Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will interact regularly with leasing staff, residents, and external stakeholders.

Valid California Driver's License

A valid California driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is between $45,000 and $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
