Sanitation Operations Manager

The Sanitation Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our Fresh Dough Facility. This position is responsible for leading the execution of all sanitation activities, pest control activities, and programs throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and training to associates to complete routine sanitation and master sanitation schedule tasks.
- Coordinate and verify cleaning responsibilities for both sanitation and production associates.
- Lead pre-operational inspections of equipment and infrastructure.
- Serve as a technical liaison between facility personnel, chemical vendors, pest control service providers, the Food Safety and Quality Manager, and Corporate Sanitation.
- Create a safe working environment for associates while upholding safe chemical handling practices and enforcing Lock Out Tag Out standard operating procedures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the facility's sanitation programs and provide continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GFSI (SQF) and Sanitary Design Standards.
- Initiate cleaning verification and validation practices to demonstrate the effectiveness of sanitation practices.
- Partner with maintenance to ensure sanitation-related PMs and MSS tasks are completed as scheduled.
- Own and manage the facility's Master Sanitation Schedule, making justifiable alterations as needed.
- Manage and monitor the sanitation team's operating budget.
- Assist in sustaining corporate and facility goals by supporting the development of individual and team goals, objectives, and operational standards.
- Responsible for sanitation and pest control corrective action and preventative action implementation regarding internal, 3rd party, and regulatory audits.
- High School Graduate (or Equivalent) or higher.
- 1-3 years of sanitation leadership experience.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Experience with Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) usage as it applies to chemical handling and usage.
- Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) experience.
- Knowledge of HACCP, Environmental Monitoring, Chemical Safety, Pest Control, and Master Sanitation Scheduling.
- Understanding of government regulations relating to OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPA.
- Experience in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC, SQF, or FSSC.
- Previous experience with audits from FDA, USDA, and/or Health Departments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet set deadlines.
- Interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and regulatory guidelines.
- Knowledge of computers and applications within Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Good written and oral communication skills.
