Position Overview

In this position, you will:

Take charge of examining and addressing all requests from legal representatives, managing work reports, and overseeing collection accounts.

Primary Duties:

  • Handle correspondence from legal entities via various channels, including but not limited to:
    • Subpoenas
    • Billing inquiries
    • Legal representation matters
    • Bankruptcy notifications
    • Distribution payments related to bankruptcy
    • Adjustments concerning bankruptcy
    • Requests for ledgers
    • Negotiations involving settlements and third parties
    • Requests for settlement reductions
    • Processing settlement payments
    • Notifications regarding probate and deceased individuals
    • Addressing inquiries and issues from attorneys
  • Act as a liaison with collection agencies for account resolution.
  • Generate reports, including:
    • Reports on deceased individuals
    • Reports concerning elderly patients
    • Bankruptcy tracking
    • Sticky notes for bankruptcy cases
    • Review settlement documentation to ensure funds are appropriately allocated
  • Ensure adherence to all organizational policies and procedures established by Orthopaedic Solutions Management.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

About You:

  • Highly organized, with effective time management skills, a strong focus on customer service, and professional communication abilities.
  • Possess a High School Diploma.
  • Have 2-3 years of experience in a medical billing environment preferred.
