Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate procedures
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and position them for scans using immobilization and protective equipment
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions and start I.V.s as needed
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and maintain accurate patient records
  • Assist radiologists with procedure performance and follow safety procedures when working with radiation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech and hold BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.

You should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential for this role.
