Job Title: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in MRI technology and possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. You will be responsible for preparing patients for MRI scans, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety during the procedure.

As an MRI Technologist, you will also be responsible for:

  • Confirming patient identification and reviewing imaging requests
  • Screening patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpreting doctors' written instructions
  • Positioning patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
  • Assisting radiologists with procedure performance
  • Starting I.V.s and administering contrast media as directed
  • Evaluating MRI scans for technical quality and collating processed images
  • Loading and operating power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Following safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 1 year of experience in MRI technology
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • BLS certification
