MRI Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for MRI exams, ensuring they are properly positioned and comfortable.
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist radiologists in the administration of contrast agents and other procedures as needed.
  • Monitor patient condition and report any changes or concerns to radiologists.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient use of resources.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) certification.
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Radiology Technologist, with previous MRI experience preferred.
