About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Optimization Specialist to join our team at Amazon Web Services, Inc. As a key member of our AWS Optimization team, you will play a critical role in driving successful IT transformation and cloud adoption for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers' Enterprise IT, Operations, and Finance teams to implement best practices for cloud adoption and cost savings.
  • Analyze large data sets, create financial models, and simplify complex data to provide customers with detailed, specific recommendations for implementing best practices for cloud adoption and cost savings.
  • Act as a financial advisor and collaborate with AWS account teams to build and deliver executive content, such as financial business cases, ROI and TCO analysis, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Become the subject matter expert in all cost and commercial related aspects of the customer life-cycle.
  • Educate and enable customers with tools to successfully manage cloud and IT spend.
  • Communicate, establish, and measure KPIs to track progress and success of transformation and optimization within customer organizations.
  • Understand and communicate billing, forecasting, and budgeting best practices.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies or equivalent.
  • Account management background, working with varying levels of customer maturity.
