Key Responsibilities

Your primary role will be to assess, implement, and evaluate total nursing care for a group of patients, working collaboratively with surgical and cardiac teams to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes. You'll be responsible for:

  • Providing safe, knowledgeable, and individualized nursing care in the immediate post-anesthesia phase
  • Assessing and responding to patient needs, prioritizing tasks to maintain a high level of patient satisfaction and safety
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and other departments to ensure continuity of care
Requirements

To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role, you'll need:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Valid Texas RN License or Eligible Compact License
  • Maintenance of current BLS, ACLS, & PALS certification from American Heart Association
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, with a commitment to pursuing a Master's Degree within three years of hire
  • PACU or ICU experience preferred, with a strong background in post-anesthesia care
