Medical Office Assistant (CMA) - Oncology

Job Summary:

As a Medical Office Assistant (CMA) in our Oncology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team. Under the direct supervision of a physician, you will perform a variety of clinical and clerical responsibilities to assist care providers in examination and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and register patient appointments
  • Verify insurance and perform check-in/check-out and charge entry functions
  • Enter pertinent information in patient charts
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare team members

Requirements:

  • Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
  • 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification
