Job Title: Senior Relationship Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Relationship Manager to join our team at Pacific Premier Bank. As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our commercial banking clients in the Santa Barbara and Ventura, CA market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow and maintain existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and providing expert advice on our deposit and loan products and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with centers of influence, business brokers, CPAs, attorneys, real estate agents, and other key stakeholders to evaluate and analyze the financial and business needs of our clients.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and departments to help achieve customer goals and address customer needs.
  • Make independent threshold determinations regarding the creditworthiness of prospective clients, assessing risks and mitigating potential risks through financial analysis and other means.
  • Actively manage and maintain existing client relationships, monitoring financial conditions and business aspects, and responding to clients' daily and long-term banking needs.
  • Develop individual marketing strategies and approaches to promote our financial products and services, leveraging existing customer relationships to solicit and prospect for new banking relationships.
  • Specialize in particular industries to gain a deeper knowledge of client needs and challenges, serving as a more effective consultant and advisor in those areas.
  • Scrutinize customer and potential customer information for evidence of irregularities, discrepancies, and fraud.
  • Negotiate credit pricing, terms, and conditions with clients, protecting the bank from excessive credit risk.
  • Support bank compliance efforts by completing relevant courses and maintaining expertise on banking products, delivery channels, and regulatory issues.
  • Facilitate the creation of necessary documentation to open, close, and renew loans and accounts, ensuring quick and accurate execution of customer requests.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of financial commercial banking experience in middle market.
  • Proven record of developing and maintaining strong customer relationships in the Santa Barbara and Ventura, CA market.

A reasonable estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary for this position is $110,483 to $165,725. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors, including location, experience, and performance. A business line incentive may be provided, ranging from 0% to 1% per loan and 0% to 2% per deposit, in addition to medical and other benefits.
