Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Pharmacy- PBM to join our team at Northwell Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the department's activities, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the department's activities, including supervising staff, establishing work assignments, and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership to pharmacy team members, supervisors, and managers, guiding them towards achieving department objectives.
  • Develop, communicate, and build consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement approved policies and procedures using knowledge of related laws governing the profession and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Supervise, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate the performance of staff, ensuring performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in hospital committees established to identify the needs of patients and the scope of pharmaceutical services required to meet those needs.
  • Participate in the department's Quality Assurance Coordinating Group and its initiatives.
  • Coordinate pharmacy operations commensurate with the scope of services provided and the identified needs of patients.
  • Recommend necessary space, equipment, and supplies for the department to provide quality and comprehensive services.
  • Analyze, recommend, implement, and monitor approved work-flow changes.
  • Participate in determining adequate staffing levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy required.
  • Current License to practice as a Pharmacist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience and 5-7 years of leadership/management experience, required.
Additional Information
