About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AmeriCorps Program Manager to join our team at Rural Dynamics Inc. (RDI). As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the AmeriCorps NCCC Tax Help Montana volunteers during tax season and overseeing the day-to-day program activities of the AmeriCorps intermediary at RDI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all AmeriCorps project reporting, provide program support, and evaluate volunteer effectiveness.
  • Collaborate to recruit and coordinate VISTA, VITA, and TCE tax volunteers.
  • Recruit grant required Sponsor Sites and volunteer members annually.
  • Manage the Sponsor Site application and member recruitment process to select the appropriate sites and candidates for participation in the program.
  • Execute all enrollment and exit processes.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, problem solving, conflict resolution, and training to volunteers stationed throughout Montana in support of helping them develop professional, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Assess volunteer performance and continues or terminates volunteer service accordingly.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to Tax and Sponsor Site and volunteers as needed for a successful working relationship and project.
  • Prepare presentations to the public about volunteering with RDI and sharing RDI's programs and mission.
  • Assist in grant writing and reporting to the CNCS Portfolio Manager.
  • Stay current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies.
  • Other ad hoc duties as requested by leadership.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related work experience, in the areas of: volunteer leadership, recruiting, AmeriCorps, volunteer management, human resources, process improvement, or project management.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, including web-based applications and proficiency with database management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.
  • National service or nonprofit volunteer development experience preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Monday through Friday office hours with evenings and weekends as required.

Must be a licensed driver with full time access to reliable, properly registered, and insured car and be able and willing to travel to locations within organization's service area.

Travel expected up to 20%.
