Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Laser Photonics, a rapidly growing public traded company. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers throughout the purchasing process, presenting our high-tech fiber laser and CO2 marking systems in ways that strengthen our brand and boost sales.

  • The ideal candidate will possess at least 2-4 years of experience in sales of capital products and product marketing, with a strong understanding of various product marketing techniques, such as email campaigns and pricing strategies.
  • They will be a creative and quantitative thinker, able to develop and implement profitable plans to position, promote, and sell our products.

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary of approximately $80,000 per year, comprehensive medical benefits, paid holidays, and PTO. Key responsibilities include:

  • Becoming aware of internal and external competition from local and national companies who work in similar areas and staying up-to-date with the overall economic landscape.
  • Looking for expansion opportunities, such as new customers, markets, and industry developments, and taking advantage of possible opportunities to advance the company.
  • Contributing to the sales area of the business to add to profitability.
  • Taking part in the sales department's team meetings to create the overall vision of the company.
  • Involving other departments to work towards specific goals each year.
  • Researching customer segments, clients, and strategies to increase qualified leads.
  • Reviewing reports that document current and projected metrics and market conditions.
  • Tracking sales campaigns to identify growth, challenges, and risks.
  • Optimizing product definition around both Laser Photonics products and services.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with tight time lines, and the ability to multi-task and work with various departments.
  • Forming strategic product marketing plans through market research, competitive analysis, and business planning.
  • Explaining the benefits and functions of products and how to use them to achieve the best results.
  • Accepting and processing orders.
  • Handling customer's issues and questions in a timely manner.
  • Analyzing product requirements and emerging technology trends.
  • Constructing customer value propositions, working as a cross-functional team with all members of the sales team and manufacturing.
  • Defining functional specifications, price, value packages, and cost targets.
