Technical Director - Energy Storage

Viridan Group is seeking a seasoned Technical Director to spearhead the development and implementation of energy storage systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading market readiness assessments, conducting technology evaluations, and enhancing technical RFP bidding and evaluation processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement technology roadmaps and strategies for energy storage systems
  • Conduct comprehensive technology evaluations and risk assessments
  • Enhance technical RFP bidding and evaluation processes
  • Track and analyze technology performance for continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain technology SOW requirements for future projects
  • Serve as the focal point for technology-related due diligence
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in renewable energy or energy storage
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PE Certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with BESS standards
  • Understanding of battery technology, power conversion systems, and proficiency in software tools like MATLAB and Python
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction in challenging situations
  • Ability to work remotely and openness to some travel
