At SCI Summit Consulting, LLC, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team in Gainesville, GA. As a key member of our underwriting team, you'll play a critical role in shaping our company's growth and success.

About the Role:

We're looking for a seasoned underwriter with a strong background in risk management and insurance underwriting. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and evaluate risks, develop and implement underwriting strategies, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate risks to determine coverage and limit requirements
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers, and other stakeholders
  • Apply underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations
  • Provide guidance and assistance to lower-level positions as needed

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of related experience in underwriting or a related field
  • Progression toward certification in underwriting or a related field (e.g., AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, or ARM)
