We are seeking a skilled Bathroom Installation Specialist to join our team at KOHLER. As a key member of our Walk-in-Bath and Showers team, you will be responsible for installing KOHLER brand products that exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate suitability of proposed work area prior to demolition or start of work, identifying visible defects that may prevent achieving KOHLER's expected installation standards.
- Confirm details of proposed installation with customers prior to start, using a confirmation form to establish trust and confidence.
- Supervise assigned apprentices and monitor their work performance throughout installation.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area, including outside customer homes and company vehicles, during the workday.
- Review product usage and maintenance with customers, providing KOHLER cleaning products and explaining proper use.
- Obtain final payment and acquire signatures on completion paperwork upon completion of installation.
- Responsible for timely reporting and updates in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Provide consumers with warranty information, product usage guidance, and necessary documentation.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of our organization's policies, procedures, and regulatory codes to ensure work adheres to standards.
- Follow our HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks, safeguarding the environment and well-being of oneself and others.
- Conduct complex analyses, quality tests, and inspections requiring high-level independent judgment.
- Extract relevant data from information provided by others and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.
- Implement improvements in manufacturing methods and processes, providing feedback on changes.
- Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills through assessment and development planning activities, formal and informal training, and coaching.
- Make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
- Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
- Work without supervision, providing technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business and product installation objectives.
- Manage and apply safe systems of work without supervision, providing technical guidance when required.
- Employ customer-oriented behaviors to connect with customers in productive and efficient ways, creating positive, defining moments.
- Employ a systematic process for solving technical issues by identifying problems and risks involved, then selecting an appropriate solution.
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- One-year minimum of bathroom remodeling or installation experience, with experience in bathroom installation preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions is a must.
- The ability to lift to 100lbs and stand for long periods is required.
- May be required to reach over shoulder height and head height, and crawl and crouch positionally.
- Ability to operate company vehicle preferred.
- A satisfactory MVR will be required to operate the company vehicle.
- Travel Approximately 25% Overnight (This will vary depending on job site locations).
