About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Reliability and Maintenance Transformation Leader to join our team at Ascend Performance Materials. As a key member of our Business and Site Leadership Teams, you will be responsible for leading all reliability and maintenance functions at our Decatur, AL facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership
    • Lead the site reliability and maintenance teams and continuously develop their skills and experiences along with the systems and processes to drive efficiency and improved performance.
    • As a member of the Site Leadership team, partner with the Site Director and leadership team to identify and resolve key issues and constraints facing the facility as well as identify new opportunities.
    • Establish clear objectives for each position, communicate them to the leaders/employees and provide opportunities for continuous dialogue and feedback on performance and development.
    • Encourage a culture that is proactive and personifies innovative ways of solving problems driven by business profitability and bottom line results.
  • Maintenance
    • Implement long-term strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of maintenance activities, maintenance standards, reliability, equipment integrity, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and SAP management.
    • Implement site processes that ensure that maintenance and project execution across the site are conducted in a safe, responsible and environmentally sound manner in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    • Establish and maintain process for facility wide continuous improvement and cost improvement.
    • Oversee an integrated multi-year turnaround execution strategy for the facility.
  • Reliability
    • Develop and implement a multi-year reliability strategy that focuses on predictive and preventive maintenance technologies to include mechanical and instrumentation systems.
    • Drive the development of a proactive data focused reliability culture in partnership with operations leaders.
    • Provide leadership on prioritizing maintenance spend and capital expenditures that will have the greatest impact on Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
    • Lead the prioritization and execution of reliability, process safety, and work process optimization.
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in leading operations, reliability, maintenance, and/or engineering organizations.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Chemical or Petrochemical Industry Experience transforming Maintenance and Reliability organizations.
  • Maintenance and Reliability Professionals Certification desired.
  • Professional Engineering Certification/Registration desired.
