Job Description

At Contractor Service and Fabrication, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance activities to identify and eliminate potential hazards within our industrial environment.
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance tasks, utilizing strong knowledge and skills in mechanical systems and precision measurement equipment.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, utilizing strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate documentation and effective communication of maintenance activities.
  • Apply advanced mathematical skills to solve layout and placement tasks, ensuring efficient and effective equipment operation.
  • Interpret and convey complex information contained within mechanical drawings, process/piping, instrumentation flow diagrams, isometric, and orthographic drawings.
  • Align pumps and rotating equipment, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctions of all components.
  • Remove, repair, and install components within ferrous and non-ferrous piping systems.
  • Perform welding tasks using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Troubleshoot and identify malfunctioning valves, and remove, repair, and reinstall all types of valves.
  • Monitor and predict bearing failure, minimizing its effects and ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Utilize test instruments to maintain equipment within an industrial facility, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain material handling equipment and troubleshoot and maintain robotic systems.
  • Calculate loads to determine proper lifting methods and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Apply theoretical concepts of lubrication and proper lubrication methods to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Adhere to material control methods and procedures, ensuring accurate tracking and management of materials.
  • Install, monitor, and repair mechanical seals, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Operate and maintain compressors, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
