About the Role

This Therapy Technician I position plays a vital role in supporting the care of our young patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of physical or occupational therapy programs established by our Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). This involves overseeing non-clinical supportive activities, communicating with supervising therapists, and ensuring patient/family safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of routine therapeutic treatments delegated by PT, OT, or PTA.
  • Implement physical or occupational therapy programs established by PT, OT, or PTA.
  • Communicate with supervising therapists regarding patient response and encourage adherence to treatment regimens at home.
  • Obtain data related to interventions provided and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Promote a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families.

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or in a therapy setting is preferred.
  • Certification in CPR.

Salary Estimate: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
