CIJS Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled CIJS Support Technician to join our team at Hidalgo County. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our Case Management System, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities- Assist countywide case management system users with technical issues and provide ongoing support
- Implement new releases and system maintenance to ensure system stability and security
- Setup and maintain all case management tables, codes, and fees for county-wide departments
- Diagnose problems, program failures, or errors of operations and make effective decisions regarding service calls or escalating problems
- Consult on computing needs for the County's Information System and personal computers
- Assign appropriate priorities based on business needs and attend formal training classes regarding software and technologies
- Assist in designing and formatting various reports and other projects
- Travel to various county departments in a personal vehicle and work irregular hours as needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation with an Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
- Experience in software corroboration preferred
- Knowledge in industry standard hardware and software preferred
- Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Security Awareness Certification required within six months of hire
- Valid Texas Motor Vehicle Operator's License and current liability insurance required
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and must be able to work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, other agency personnel, and the public. The ability to multitask, plan, and organize work efficiently and meet indicated deadlines is essential.
