The Property Operations Supervisor is a full-time role dedicated to the upkeep and management of the facilities at Christ Little Rock Church, School, and Early Childhood Center. This position requires an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with the Lead Pastor, Principal, and Early Childhood Director. The supervisor will be responsible for recruiting and overseeing a team of volunteers to assist in various aspects of property management and enhancement. Punctuality and a robust work ethic are essential traits for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plumbing: Ensure optimal functionality at all times.
    • a. Conduct minor repairs and clear blockages in sinks and toilets as needed.
    • b. Oversee the maintenance of the lawn irrigation system.
    • c. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors for external work.
  • Electrical: Guarantee proper operation of electrical systems, both inside and outside.
    • a. Replace bulbs and fixtures as required.
    • b. Execute minor repairs, including switches and outlets.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Ensure the grounds are clean and functional at all times.
    • a. Remove debris and litter from driveways, sidewalks, and outdoor areas.
    • b. Maintain neat grass, edging, and trimming around the property.
    • c. Collect trash from inside the building daily.
    • d. Coordinate the stripping, waxing, and buffing of hallways and classrooms.
  • Room Setup: Assist staff with the arrangement of equipment and furniture as necessary.
    • a. Relocate desks, chairs, and equipment as requested by teachers or the principal.
    • b. Organize supplies in the appropriate storage areas.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform and schedule routine maintenance to ensure proper operation.
    • a. Ice Machine – change filters, clean both interior and exterior, and maintain functionality.
    • b. Heating and Air – change filters, clean units as necessary, and maintain vendor relationships.
    • c. Refrigerators – clean coils and perform minor repairs when required.
    • d. Maintenance Equipment – ensure proper cleaning and organization.
  • Inspections: Ensure all daily, monthly, and annual inspections are scheduled and completed.
    • a. Daily - Identify and rectify safety and fire hazards.
    • b. Weekly - Test emergency lighting devices, smoke detectors, and alarms.
    • c. Monthly – Inspect fire extinguishers.
    • d. Quarterly – Assess the fire sprinkler system.
    • e. Annually – Conduct kitchen inspections and fire marshal assessments.
  • Purchasing: Acquire necessary items to perform job duties.
    • a. Seek approval for larger expenditures.
    • b. Utilize the company card exclusively for company-related purchases.
    • c. Engage authorized on-call contract vendors for significant repairs.
    • d. Obtain approval for all major repairs from the lead pastor.
  • Additional Duties:
    • a. As needed, remove snow and ice from sidewalks.
    • b. As needed, shampoo carpets.
    • c. As needed, perform painting tasks.
    • d. Clean the cafeteria floor daily after lunch.

The ideal candidate should be capable of walking continuously throughout the day, with frequent bending and stooping. They must also be able to lift up to 75 lbs without assistance and utilize hand trucks, dollies, and flatbeds. Climbing ladders to perform tasks is a necessary requirement.
