Job Summary

Thomas Edwards Group is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for conducting daily operations, including month and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliations, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, revenue and expenditure analysis, capital assets reconciliation, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily operations of the accounting department
  • Manage month and year-end processes
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable and account reconciliations
  • Process cash receipts and general ledger
  • Manage payroll and utilities
  • Perform revenue and expenditure analysis
  • Reconcile capital assets and fixed assets
  • Manage debt activity
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 2-4+ years bookkeeping experience; CPA preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Accounting software expertise, QuickBooks experience a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Professional presentation and demeanor
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Maintain confidentiality
