About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Transition to Practice Educator- Critical Care to join our team at North Texas Division Office. As a Transition to Practice Educator- Critical Care, you will play a crucial role in improving professional practice and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in lifelong learning and facilitate orientation/onboarding/transition to practice programs to promote employee retention.
  • Conduct training in a manner that facilitates a positive learning environment and provides expertise in identifying professional development needs of individual staff in the identified specialty setting.
  • Assist staff to identify areas for individual growth in current role and direct staff to career advancement resources.
  • Utilize novice to expert continuum when developing staff and understand adult educational theory and apply to the development of educational programs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and ability to apply evaluation methodologies (i.e. Kirkpatrick) into courses and curriculum to refine clinical programs.
  • Contribute to insights and feedback for succession planning and identify and provide opportunities for skill enhancement and mastery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing Required
  • Masters degree in Nursing or Education; if the graduate degree in not in nursing, the undergraduate degree must be in nursing. Preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in an acute care facility Required
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state(s) where practicing, in accordance with law and regulation. Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Certification in designated specialty Preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 75% in market
