Position Summary:

The Production Assembly Technician will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions to gather components, assemble, disassemble, and make minor modifications to various standard parts.

Work Schedule:

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently perform assembly tasks on the bench and floor to construct, build, and repair components for degassing equipment and metal pumps.
  • Set up and adjust machinery to ensure precise alterations by reviewing specifications based on blueprints.
  • Collaborate with team members on various assembly projects as required.
  • Safely operate hoists and tow motors to transport materials and components.
  • Conduct functionality tests and work closely with quality assurance personnel.
  • Perform general cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels utilizing barcode technology.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in manufacturing or carpentry is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring and power tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and maintain high ethical standards.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with barcode scanners and data entry.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong judgment and attention to detail in all tasks.
Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, stand and walk for extended periods, and communicate effectively in English.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a manufacturing setting with exposure to various environmental factors, including light to moderate airborne dust and background noise. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
