Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist II to join our team at Gwinnett County Public Schools. As a key member of our Psychological Services department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessments and interventions to support the academic and social-emotional needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psycho-developmental assessments and provide recommendations for eligibility and support services.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide consultation and staff development to support teachers and other school personnel in addressing student needs.
  • Communicate effectively with community agencies and professionals to ensure seamless support for students and families.
  • Participate in professional growth activities to stay current with best practices and research in school psychology.
Requirements
  • Must hold or be eligible for a valid certificate in school psychology.
  • Completion of a state-approved certification preparation program in school psychology at the specialist degree level or higher.
  • Three years of experience as a preschool special education psychologist preferred.
