This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that improve the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

Job Purpose

Keep raw material supplied to the production workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area for pickup.

● Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage.

● Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment with freight carriers

● Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness. Pack sold items properly and ship in a timely basis per policy.

Qualifications

● Experience using In-house and 3rd Party TMS systems

● Ability to build relationships with shipping companies to improve our shipping methods

Working in Shipping requires a high school diploma/GED at minimum. Some college is often preferred. Knowledge of distribution center operations, strong analytical and math skills, and an understanding of software are especially helpful. Preferred SAP experience.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Ability to obtain forklift operator certification Ability to perform data entry Ability to read, understand, and follow operation instructions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hazardous material handling Forklift license

General Job Requirements

Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch. Must be able to differentiate colors. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee. Must be able to stand for long periods of time This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions. Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times. Must be able and willing to work overtime. Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays. Must be able and willing to operate a forklift.
