The Educator focuses on associate development to achieve data integrity as it relates to managing receivables and maximizing reimbursement. This role involves performing quality reviews, providing feedback, and ensuring a high level of accuracy on all admissions. The Educator must effectively communicate information and ideas to internal and external customers, establishing trusting relationships with associates and management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing improved performance competencies for the department staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain new hire orientation and ongoing training programs.
  • Identify ongoing educational needs for internal and external customers.
  • Monitor associate accuracy, provide feedback, and individual training to enhance performance.
  • Maintain knowledge of current regulatory rules and requirements, such as JCAHO, HIPAA, CMS, and other federal and state guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of reimbursement requirements for all payers.
  • Participate in the development and testing of system applications and provide training.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of personnel, administrative, and department policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively all aspects of Patient Access using multiple resources.
  • Be available to provide assistance to associates on a real-time basis to address questions and operational issues.
  • Complete required training as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience preferred.
