Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Luxury Engineering Specialist to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As an Engineer III, you will be responsible for responding to guest repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment with minimal supervision.

This role includes troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with local standards and company policies. Additionally, you will train and mentor junior engineers while maintaining a professional and guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and Repair Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Systems
- Identify and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform repairs and replacements as needed to ensure system functionality and safety

Perform Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, and other maintenance tasks as required

Train and Mentor Junior Engineers
- Provide guidance and support to junior engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of junior engineers

Maintain a Professional and Guest-Focused Environment
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and others
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with guests and colleagues

Requirements

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering/maintenance; supervisory experience a plus

Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver's License required
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification required
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements

Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
