The ideal candidate will have board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, experience in clinical leadership, and a passion for innovation. They will be responsible for setting an example for thoughtful primary care, mentoring and coaching providers, and participating in strategic initiatives.



  • Leadership and Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager and Outreach Manager/Director to achieve organizational objectives
  • Implement regional and organizational priorities
  • Cascade information to care team members and escalate concerns to the organization

The role involves practicing primary care in clinics alongside provider colleagues, with 80% clinical time and 20% administrative time. The Medical Director will ensure evidence-based care, consistent with Oak Street's clinical guidelines, and support care teams in providing high-quality preventative care.



  • Provider Management and Development
  • Coordinate onboarding of new providers
  • Model excellent medical care, implement the care model, and achieve metrics
