Position Overview:
We are looking for a proficient Senior Facilities Engineer with a strong background in refrigeration systems, particularly in rooftop installations. The successful candidate will be adept at servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting refrigeration units in both commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond efficiently and courteously to requests from tenants and management.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies, including ordering and stocking.
  • Oversee the operation and scheduling of equipment.
  • Act as the primary engineer during the absence of the lead engineer.
  • Maintain daily logs and conduct visual inspections of equipment.
  • Effectively prioritize and handle multiple requests from various stakeholders.
  • Utilize the CMMS system to complete work orders.
  • Independently manage, maintain, and repair building systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Keep detailed records of all equipment and activities.
  • Coordinate with cleaning staff as necessary.
  • Prepare factual reports on incidents and occurrences.
  • Repair and maintain various building components, including doors, walls, ceilings, lighting, plumbing fixtures, roofs, locks, and keys.

Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in building engineering.
  • Familiarity with chillers, boilers, pumps, and large tonnage systems.
  • Preferred: High Pressure Boiler Operator's License and Refrigeration Operator License.
  • Preferred: EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing various building systems.
  • Skilled in balancing air and water treatment systems.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Capability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of basic and power tools.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and remain standing for extended periods.
  • Access to remote areas such as crawl spaces and roofs.
  • Full manual dexterity for various physical tasks.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and work in diverse weather conditions.

Other Requirements:
  • Maintain positive interactions with co-workers, tenants, contractors, and the public.
  • Availability to work after hours, on holidays, and weekends as required.
