Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead, Manufacturing Engineer (Energetics) to join our team at L3Harris Technologies. As a key member of our site near Culpeper, VA, you will be responsible for leading the development of new energetic materials manufacturing concepts and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant project assignments, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff and suppliers.
  • Develop and review statements of work and statements of requirements for compliance with L3Harris safety protocols and US Government safety specifications and requirements documents.
  • Interpret analytical and experimental data, including forecasting the significance of conclusions reached on future related work.
  • Travel up to 25% within the US.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Engineering experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related Engineering experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Engineering experience.
  • 4 years experience with mixing plastics, polymers, polymer-based composition.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Chemical Engineering degree or combination of chemistry degree and engineering degree.
  • Working knowledge of the application of DOD M and associated supporting documentation.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with MS Project.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
