KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Retail Operations Leader plays a crucial role in delivering our mission by guiding a team of high-performing members to provide exceptional service to every customer.

  • Ensures team members consistently deliver a remarkable customer experience by embodying and teaching our core service principles.
  • Establishes clear expectations for team readiness and customer engagement.
  • Collaborates with team members to create actionable plans for both immediate and long-term development.
  • Provides timely and constructive feedback to foster a culture of simplicity, enjoyment, and style.
  • Conducts annual performance evaluations and regular coaching sessions with all team members.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and formulates strategies to enhance performance.
  • Builds and maintains a professional relationship with the optical doctor to ensure a comprehensive and collaborative eye exam experience.
  • Recruits top talent and maintains a pool of potential candidates.
  • Creates schedules that reflect business trends and customer traffic patterns.
  • Manages payroll and personnel documentation efficiently.
  • Ensures compliance with all operational policies and procedures, including merchandising and store presentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in customer service or retail.
  • A strong drive for results and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in recruiting, selecting, and developing talent.
  • The ability to motivate and influence others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • An Opticianary License or certification from the American Board of Opticians.
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.

Compensation is determined by various factors, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered as part of a comprehensive rewards package.
