We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant/LPN to join our team at St. Charles Health System. As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as EKGs and phlebotomy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Current MA certification from a recognized organization, such as the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
