We are expanding our operations and require a full-time forklift mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repairs on new and used forklifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing LP propane and electric forklifts of all makes and models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair forklifts to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform planned maintenance on rental and customer forklift trucks, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new equipment to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Verify that all safety features on each forklift are properly maintained and functional.
  • Maintain accurate records of each job, including paperwork and documentation.
  • Ensure the shop and yard are clean and organized, adhering to our company's safety and quality standards.
  • Tag all equipment entering the shop, ensuring proper identification and tracking.
  • Utilize personal tools to perform duties, as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to contribute to the effective operation of our service and repair department.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in automotive or equipment repair is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow established procedures and practices.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, as well as communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
