The Director of Nursing is tasked with the management of daily clinical functions, striving for excellence in care standards and patient safety. The Director effectively leads the nursing staff while encouraging professional development and growth at all levels. Responsibilities include developing, monitoring, and adhering to both operational and capital budgets for nursing services, while ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.
Collaboration with healthcare partners is essential to align nursing practices with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Registered Nurse designation
- Active and unrestricted RN license recognized by the State of Vermont
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience:
- 3-5 years of progressive clinical and administrative leadership experience in skilled nursing and long-term care settings
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to nursing
- Demonstrated nursing competency
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Preferred certifications in rehabilitation or geriatric nursing
- Experience with electronic health records systems is a plus.
