Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Adventist Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
- Use PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information, ensuring the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
- ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
