Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stewarding Assistant Manager to join our team at PENN Entertainment, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising all Stewarding staff and ensuring the overall daily management of a designated shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with ensuring cleanliness standards meet established guidelines in all F&B outlet kitchens on designated shift.
  • Assist with maintenance of cost control methods and procedures by monitoring consistent pars and inventory of supplies.
  • Assist with development and management of operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Responsible for work procedures and expedites workflow to all Stewarding employees, to include floor operations, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintenance of established quality assurance procedures to ensure acceptable health department and customer service standards in Stewarding department.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in culinary or related field preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
