POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing small to medium-scale construction initiatives across various sectors within a specified Region or Division. This role employs the Company's Project Management Methodology to guide the complete lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring their successful execution. Responsibilities include supporting functional project teams, resolving issues, managing resources, coordinating project activities, engaging with clients, overseeing financial aspects, and providing training and mentorship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Project Engineer plans, monitors, and communicates project status and performance metrics to management and stakeholders, identifies potential conflicts among stakeholders, and facilitates their resolution.
- Accountable for risk management, the Project Engineer develops and implements mitigation strategies, effectively communicating risks associated with both self-performed and subcontracted work throughout all project phases.
- This role contributes to the ongoing enhancement of methodologies, tools, and approaches by applying fundamental Project Management practices while mentoring associates and field engineers.
- The Project Engineer ensures that team objectives, roles, protocols, and business relationships align with high-performance standards and the strategic goals of the company. This position fosters an environment of trust and transparency, promotes accountability, and provides constructive feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects with a solid understanding of construction and utility industry practices.
- Familiarity with Critical Path Scheduling software and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Completion of 3 Company PMM online training modules.
- Completion of 7 Company PMP online courses to obtain a Master Certificate.
- Strong problem-solving skills for moderately complex challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
