Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our team and help us develop intelligent research assistants and platforms like Semantic Scholar. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to driving innovative projects that improve the productivity and discovery experience of scientists.

Key Responsibilities

">

You'll be responsible for:

">
  • Conducting high-impact research and leading research projects to advance our understanding of AI and its applications in scientific research.
  • Collaborating with team members across Ai2 to drive innovation and solve complex problems.
  • Mentoring early-career researchers and interns, sharing your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of AI professionals.
  • Implementing and sharing open-source software to improve access to our research.
  • Helping to develop collaborative relationships with relevant academic, industrial, government, and standards organizations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

">
  • A PhD in Computer Science or a related field, preferably with a focus on one or more of our team's active research areas.
  • A strong publication record in AI-related areas, including venues like ACL, CHI, ICLR, EMNLP, SIGIR, KDD, WWW, CVPR, NeurIPS, and ICML.
  • Excellent software engineering skills, including experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and Tensorflow, and contributions to open-source research libraries like AllenNLP and spaCy.
