Pharmacy Technician, Specialty

Rightway Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Specialty Pharmacy team. As a key member of our Clinical Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Specialty Clinical Pharmacists in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for specialty pharmacy benefit information, prior authorization requests, and navigation support for our members.
- Provide support to members enrolled in specialty management programs, including coordinating prior authorization, prescription fulfillment, patient assistance programs, and billing inquiries.
- Field questions from members, human resources departments, pharmacies, and providers related to specialty distribution, benefit design, formulary coverage, and prior authorization criteria.
- Support Specialty Clinical Pharmacists in patient and provider outreaches, including scheduling appointments, enrolling members in copay or patient assistance programs, and medication adherence support.
- Assist in ensuring all operating and productivity standards are met, including conducting quality reviews of calls, chats, and documentation notes.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy technician role within a Specialty pharmacy, PBM, pharmacy department of a health plan, or similar managed care setting.
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, critical thinker, empathetic, and ability to dig deep in understanding an issue to get to true root cause and resolution.
- Knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication and benefit designs/terminology, ability to multi-task and prioritize work, and ability to work independently.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
