We operate across multiple locations and are involved in high-profile, dynamic, and intricate projects throughout the New England region.

Key Responsibilities:

We are excited to offer a position for a Traffic Engineering Associate within our Public Infrastructure department. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior engineers on a range of engineering initiatives, which may include:

  • Conducting traffic and safety assessments
  • Creating conceptual and detailed design plans
  • Developing plans for pavement markings, signage, and traffic signals, along with technical specifications and cost estimates
  • Preparing design and feasibility reports
  • Collecting field data
  • Assisting with proposals and presentations

The selected candidate will work in close coordination with various civil engineering disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Relevant internship experience or 1-4 years of progressive responsibility in Traffic Engineering; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • EIT certification is preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Synchro is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HCS, and Vissim is a plus
  • Knowledge of MUTCD, HCM, HSM, and AASHTO standards is beneficial
  • Experience with MassDOT standards and deliverables is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capability to apply critical thinking and judgment to identify, analyze, and resolve issues
