Job Overview

As an Aquatic Safety Officer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all members and guests within the aquatic environment. This role requires constant vigilance and a proactive approach to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a watchful eye on the pool area to ensure the safety of all individuals.
  2. Act swiftly and effectively in emergency situations, adhering to established protocols and the Aquatic Safety Plan.
  3. Regularly monitor and document pool chemical levels throughout your shift.
  4. Conduct swim tests and accurately mark swimmers with wristbands based on their swimming abilities.
  5. Adhere to the aquatic program schedule, adjusting lane lines as necessary.
  6. Familiarize yourself with the layout of the facility to respond effectively to incidents outside the pool area.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Possess a current Ellis & Associates CARMP license.
  • Vision must be a minimum of 20/25 or 20/25 corrected, with the use of corrective lenses if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
