Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees: Coffee Shop Baristas

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver prompt, friendly, and efficient service, ensuring customers feel valued and appreciated.
  • Greet customers warmly, fostering a welcoming atmosphere throughout the store.
  • Make an effort to remember customers' names and personalize interactions.
  • Assist customers by:
    • Guiding them to desired products
    • Retrieving items that are out of reach
    • Helping with heavy items
    • Documenting customer feedback and requests
    • Enhancing the overall shopping experience in every possible way.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, providing helpful service and taking orders as needed.
  • Process customer orders at the counter efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
  • Maintain food safety standards and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring an adequate supply is available.
  • Prepare and restock products as necessary.
  • Receive and organize product deliveries, reviewing invoices as needed.
  • Operate cash registers, handling transactions accurately.
  • Dispose of waste in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to personal hygiene and dress code standards.
  • Follow company policies and store guidelines diligently.
  • Punctually report to work as scheduled.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Wash dishes as required.
  • Order supplies as needed.
  • Price products for customers when necessary.
  • Assist in other store areas as required.
  • Perform additional job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to solve practical problems with various variables and limited standardization.
  • Competence in arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to manage filing, posting, and mailing tasks; copy data; and provide basic guidance.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have completed Sanitation (Food Safety) courses and possess one year of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
  • Visual requirements include the ability to see at various distances, with or without correction.
  • Must be capable of performing physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Environment:
This role is often in a cool environment with exposure to dampness, equipment noise, and vibrations. There may be hazards associated with equipment movement and daily exposure to cleaning chemicals. The work environment is fast-paced.

Equipment Utilized:
Cash register, slicers, fryers, ovens, computers, fax machines, telephones, copiers, calculators, kitchen utensils, and various food preparation equipment.

Contact:
Regular interaction with customers, suppliers, and the general public, with occasional contact with regulatory agencies for inspections.
