Early Childhood Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at Harlem Children's Zone. As a key member of our Baby College Department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality educational programs and services to families with young children.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote early childhood development and parenting skills
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for parents and caregivers on topics such as child development, parenting strategies, and early learning programs
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver comprehensive programs that meet the needs of families and children
- Conduct home visits and provide individualized support to families to promote regular attendance and engagement in our programs
- Assess family needs and develop plans to support families in achieving their goals
- Build relationships with community partners and organizations to enhance our programs and services
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education and parenting
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in teaching, facilitating adult classes, or working with families and young children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- A competitive hourly rate of $30 per hour
