Key Responsibilities- Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans to promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, identifying areas of strength and need, and making recommendations for individualized support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies that align with state and national standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education and to enhance teaching skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
- Child Psychology, with 12 credits specific to Early Childhood.
- Child Development, with 12 credits specific to Early Childhood.
- General Education, with 12 credits specific to Early Childhood.
- Early Childhood Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
- Elementary Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
- N-6 Elementary Education.
- Special Education, Students with Disabilities (B-2) or Students with Disabilities (1-6).
- ORNYS Certifications in the areas below are acceptable:
- Nursery - 6thGrade.
- Early Childhood (Birth - 2ndGrade).
- Childhood Education (Grades 1-6).
- Special Education-N-12thGrade.
- Students with Disabilities Birth - 2ndGrade.
- Students with Disabilities 1st-6thGrade.
- Pre-K - 2ndGrade.
- Competitive salary range: $25.75-$31.45 per hour.
